Linda M. Plush is Founder/President of the Space Nursing Society (SNS). Mrs. Plush founded SNS in 1991. She is also owner of the company, West Palm, Inc.-Mobile Acute Hemodyalisis Service in Palmdale, California. She has been involved in teaching human engineering to a hundred students in a space simulation game sponsored by NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, former Rockwell Space Systems Division and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). She is a Member of the Lunar Economic Development Authority's (LEDA) Corps of Observers and; a Member of the Mexican Space Society's (SEM) Board of Advisors.
Among many of Mrs. Plush activities is to teach about the basis for practice that constitute the uniqueness of space nursing. She also is a strong advocate for how aerospace nurses play a critical role in supervision and delivery of care for adults and future pediatric patients in all treatment methods for individuals experiencing the effects of changed environments or trasitioning through environments; moreover, for her, research is essential for sustaining growth and maturation, new ideas must be encouraged and tested in the field of space nursing.
