
David G. Schrunk
David G. Schrunk is an aerospace engineer and a medical doctor in the medical specialities of nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology. He retired from the practice of medicine in 1994. Dr. Schrunk founded the Science of Laws Institute in 1995. He also has an active interest in lunar development, and has coauthored scientific papers on lunar infrastructure concepts. He coauthored the best and still only one technical book published about rationale steps necessary for establishing permanent bases on the Moon. The Moon: Resources, Future Development and Colonization books's innovative and scientific-based analysis concludes that the Moon has sufficient resources for large-scale human development.
His experience includes periods at NASA Manned Space Flight Center, U. S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory, McDonnell-Douglas Astronautics and the University of Missouri. Dr. Schrunk worked at NASA Johnson Space Center during the Apollo Moon missions, then on the Viking Mars Program, and trained NASA flight controllers. He is a Member of the Lunar Economic Development Authority's (LEDA) Board of Directors, and a Member of the Mexican Space Society's (SEM) Board of Advisors.
